'USA' the RNC & fascism by Matthew Edward Hayward on Sunday, September 2, 2012 While looking forward to traveling to one of my dream destinations, the sunny State of Florida, I learned of Isaac, a hurricane approaching Tampa. Little did I know that Hurricane Isaac was less of a concern than the dark clouds looming over the Republican National Convention. Day 1 of the convention was canceled because of Isaac. Day two quickly ended for the grass roots and any hope of unity after the disenfranchisement of the Maine delegation and authoritarian passage of the new rules. The new rules made it so Ron Paul could not be nominated and consolidated all power to RNC leadership giving them the ability to change the rules to whatever they want, whenever they want.
