If Republicans want to succeed in Washington, they need to start winning.
If the Republican party wants to win, they're going to have
to start raising money.
How do you raise money to win without winning first?
You have to have a plan, a plan that is thorough and convincing.
The Republican party needs to pick small races around Washington
over the next several years and win at least 90% of the races they choose.
The path to building a robust political machine and someday
possibly a red state is through targeting school boards, library districts, city
councils, fire commissioners, county commissioner seats, Etc.
The most important thing is to win; races must be chosen
based on their winnability.
If there were a massive organized effort by professional
skilled political consultants, there would be interest from Republicans to
donate. I would happily participate actively and financially
in a plan like this.
In fact, I would go out and continuously fundraise for
something like this. I believe in this plan, and I know other people believe in
this plan; the question is, why aren't we building a bench?
Why don't we have paid professional political scouting candidates for specific races year-round?
Why don't we have paid professionals working with and assisting
candidates with their campaigns?
Lastly, why don't we have a Statewide comprehensive voters
guide for conservatives similar to the progressive voter's guide?
Imagine this:
The State party's focus should be on State legislative races;
the county focuses on the county, municipal and local races.
The State Republican Party focuses on key legislative races
while assisting county parties in implementing a program to pick key local non-legislative
races. A liaison from the state party should work with local leaders to ensure this plan is implemented.
This must be addressed to volunteers; if paid staff are
required, then that is what must happen.
