How the Drug War Killed Liberty

By Matthew Hayward 10/25/2025 When the State Declares War on Behavior Earlier this month, President Trump ordered United States military strikes off the coast of Venezuela, killing alleged “narcoterrorists.” He later boasted, “ We’re just going to kill people that are bringing drugs into our country .” Those words should chill every American who believes in liberty. Fifty years after Nixon declared his war on drugs, it has evolved from domestic raids to international executions, all under the same failed philosophy that government violence can cure human vice. When the state declares war on human behavior, it always loses and takes the people down with it. Every prison cell, every overdose, every cartel bullet is a monument to the arrogance of government trying to legislate morality.           Back in 1988, Ron Paul said it best on The Morton Downey Jr. Show : “You can’t legislate morality. You can’t force people to be better by passing laws. If ...

When Government Demands Papers We Refuse

By Matthew Hayward  9/19/2025  The Supreme Court just paused a lower court order that had limited federal immigration stops in Los Angeles. That stay lets federal agents resume roving patrols and interior operations that critics say rely on appearance, language, job, or neighborhood to pick people for questioning.  This matters because it normalizes a posture of suspicion. Checkpoints miles inland and roving patrols turn movement inside the country into a condition to be earned rather than a freedom to be enjoyed. The government already claims expanded authority inside the 100-mile border zone. That claim, plus an open green light for stops based on appearance, is a recipe for arbitrary enforcement.  Philosophy of resistance John Locke told us that the consent of the governed is the foundation of legitimate power. When rulers invade life, liberty, or property, or when they become arbitrary disposers of people’s lives and fortunes, the social compact is dissolve...

Identity Is Built, Not Found

By Matthew Hayward 8/30/2025 Identity Is What You Build Most of who you are today is the result of what you’ve built, where you’ve put your time, and what you’ve poured your energy into. That’s your identity. It isn’t handed to you. It’s earned. The danger comes when you start tearing it down instead of strengthening it. Constantly doubting who you are can be paralyzing, even destructive. The healthier move isn’t to obsess, it’s to reflect with clarity. Ask better questions, and you’ll get better answers. Seven Healthier Lenses for Identity 1. Fluid, not fixed Identity isn’t a box you check once. It’s more like software that updates. Allowing yourself to grow without guilt keeps you from getting stuck in old versions of yourself. 2. Multi-layered You’re not just one thing. Identity works in layers: traits, relationships, communities, values, purpose. Over-identifying with a single role such as parent, partner, activist, or career is dangerous because if it shifts, you’ll feel lo...

Reality Is Rigged and You Can Hack It

By Matthew Hayward 7/29/2025 Manifesting Reality: How the Matrix, Quantum Entanglement, and Consciousness Intertwine Look, science fiction and science fact have been flirting for decades. But lately, the line between the two is starting to disappear. The idea that we’re living in a simulated reality isn’t just a late-night stoner theory anymore. It’s a framework, a lens to view those weird, unexplained moments that leave you thinking, "What the hell just happened?" Quantum entanglement, synchronicity, manifestation… they all start to make a lot more sense when you stop pretending reality is some rigid, mechanical machine. It’s not. It’s code. And if you’re paying attention, you might just figure out how to rewrite it. NPCs vs Manifestors: Who’s Really Running Things? Picture the world like a massive open-world video game. Some people are just running the default programming. They go to work, follow the script, consume what they’re told, and never ask questions. NPCs. Then the...

The Most Underrated Asset in Crypto Right Now

June 27, 2025 By Matthew Hayward Current LINK price: $13.03 Everyone’s Chasing Hype. I’m Watching Chainlink. In a world where crypto hype is louder than a nightclub at midnight, one project is quietly laying the pipes for the future of finance — and almost no one’s talking about it. While influencers flood your feed with meme coins, XRP cult jargon, and “top 5 altcoins to buy before Friday,” Chainlink (LINK) is doing something radical: It’s working. No BitBoy pump. No delusional army. No sugar-coated nonsense. Just cold, hard utility. The Most Underrated Project in Crypto? Let’s run the checklist: ✅ MasterCard partnership ✅ Powering SWIFT and DTCC pilots ✅ Securing billions in DeFi with oracles ✅ Launching CCIP to bridge traditional finance and Web3 ✅ Zero hype, maximal development While the rest of the market is a casino, Chainlink is the infrastructure behind the scenes. It’s not trying to be flashy. It’s trying to be indispensable. And it’s succeeding. Numbers Don’t Lie — But They W...

The National Guard Was Never Meant to Be a Federal Tool

By Matthew Hayward 7/13/2025 Let me say this clearly: the National Guard was created to defend the states, not to enforce the will of the federal government. It was meant to serve as a local militia—an armed extension of the people under the control of the state. The highest authority a Guard member was ever supposed to answer to is their elected governor, not a bureaucrat in Washington, not a federal agency, and certainly not a sitting president weaponizing military force on domestic soil. Yes, I know the laws have changed. I know the Montgomery Amendment, the National Defense Act, and the Supreme Court's decision in Perpich v. DoD rewrote the rules. But legal doesn’t mean constitutional. Gradualism doesn’t legitimize usurpation. You don’t get to trample foundational principles and call it progress. What’s happening now—federalizing state forces to deploy them in cities without gubernatorial consent—is blasphemous. It's an insult to the very spirit of the Constitution. The ...

BREAKING: Government shutdown imminent!

y Matthew Hayward 3/12025 And just like every single time this happens, the party in power cries about how irresponsible the opposition is for not caving to their spending demands, while the opposition plays their predictable role of pretending to care about fiscal responsibility. Fast forward one election cycle, and they’ll swap scripts—and the same bootlicking partisans will cheer it on like the good little NPCs they are. Your memory is shorter than a TikTok trend. Your "principles" last about as long as your party tells you they should. And every two years, you fall for the exact same scam, patting yourself on the back for being a "critical thinker" while regurgitating the same propaganda your team spoon-fed you. Democrats and Republicans don’t fear each other—they fear you waking up. If this game wasn’t so predictable, it might actually be funny. But it’s not. It’s pathetic. #WakeUp #GovernmentShutdownTheatre #BothPartiesAreTheSame #NPCPolitics

Breaking: New $500 Million Government Study Finds Government Employees Oppose Cutting Government Jobs

Breaking: New $500 Million Government Study Finds Government Employees Oppose Cutting Government Jobs By: Matthew Hayward WASHINGTON, D.C. — In a shocking revelation that absolutely no one saw coming, a newly released $500 million government-funded study has found that government employees are overwhelmingly against cutting government jobs, reducing waste, or making government more efficient. The 10-year study, commissioned by a bipartisan coalition known as the Committee to Study Studies About Studies , spent a decade analyzing the complex question of whether bureaucrats enjoy having taxpayer-funded jobs. The answer, after extensive focus groups, surveys, and catered team-building retreats? A resounding “No” to anything that might involve layoffs, accountability, or a world where they have to produce measurable results. “This data is crystal clear,” said Dr. Preston Bloatworthy, lead researcher on the study, while adjusting his government-issued ergonomic office chair. “Government emp...

Character and Values I am driven by purpose, not by money or materialism. I have an overdeveloped sense of justice and a relentless pursuit of fairness. I am unwaveringly trustworthy and lo...

Liberty's Whisper in the Shadows

These poems were inspired by Matthew Hayward's blog post The Quiet Surrender Of Liberty and brought to life with the help of modern AI tools. Erosion of Freedom In shadows deep, where freedoms wane, A silent thief extends its reign. Through quiet nods and soft consent, Our liberties, unguarded, went. The watchful eye begins to close, As apathy in silence grows. What once would spark a fervent stand, Now slips away like grains of sand. The scanners hum, the laws expand, Encroachments on our cherished land. Yet voices fade, resistance thins, As tyranny, unchallenged, wins. Awake, arise, let courage flame, Reject the quiet slide to shame. For freedom's light, though dimmed, can shine, When hearts and minds with truth align. Awaken the Flame In shadows deep, where freedoms wane, Complacency forges tyranny's chain. Silent surrenders, liberties lost, Apathy's toll, a grievous cost. Vigilance fades, oppression ascends, Rights erode as indifference extends. Yet within hearts, ...

The Quiet Surrender of Liberty

By Matthew Hayward The slow poison of complacency is the death of the fighting spirit. History is filled with examples of once-free people who gradually surrendered their liberty, not in a single stroke but through a series of quiet concessions. Tyranny often doesn’t arrive with the sound of thunder; it creeps in like a thief in the night, taking advantage of human complacency. The most maddening aspect of this process is not the power-hungry forces behind it—it is the passive, apathetic acceptance by the very people it seeks to control. Complacency is the death knell of liberty. It dulls the senses, erodes vigilance, and normalizes oppression over time. What once sparked outrage and resistance becomes routine, accepted as the new normal. The body scanners at TSA checkpoints, the Patriot Act, the ever-expanding surveillance state—each started with public protests and fiery debates. Now, these violations of privacy and freedom are woven into the fabric of everyday life. Why do peop...

Why a Low Price Doesn't Mean It's a Better Investment

By Matthew Hayward Introduction When investing in cryptocurrency, many newcomers assume a lower price tag means a better opportunity. It’s tempting to think a coin like Dogecoin, priced under a dollar, has more growth potential than Bitcoin, which costs tens of thousands per coin. However, this common assumption can lead to costly mistakes. Let’s uncover why price isn’t the whole story. The Price of a Share Doesn’t Equal Value Think of stock prices like slices of pizza. A $300 share is just one slice from a company, while a $150 share is another slice from a different company. The price of the slice tells you nothing about the size of the pizza (the company’s value). A smaller pizza might have expensive slices, and a giant pizza might have cheap slices. Why Two Shares of $300 Can Beat Six Shares of $150 Owning more slices of a weaker pizza doesn’t mean you’re getting more food. If the $300 company is growing faster, making better profits, and has strong prospects, its slices are worth ...

When the Census Goes Beyond the Constitution

By Matthew Hayward The Census: From Counting People to Collecting Control The Constitution established the census as a straightforward tool for representation—nothing more, nothing less. Article I, Section 2 mandates an enumeration every ten years to determine how many representatives each state is allotted. That’s it. Simple. Effective. Proportional representation was the goal, and the census was designed to achieve it. So how did we end up here—with government agents asking about the number of bathrooms in our homes, our ethnic identities, and everything in between? This is the creeping hand of central planning at work. What began as a tool to empower individual representation has been twisted into a mechanism to empower bureaucrats, planners, and those who believe they know better than free individuals how to run their own lives. Central Planning: The False Promise of Data The justification for prying into the most intimate details of our lives is always the same: “We need the ...

Could Today Be the Cheapest Price for Bitcoin Ever Again? Here’s Why

By: Matthew Hayward Current price  Nov 10, 2024 76.72K 80.43K Is Now the Time to Buy Bitcoin? Bitcoin has come a long way since its early days as a niche digital asset. Today, as we enter another phase in its established four-year cycle , Bitcoin may be at a historic high, but it could soon become the new baseline price. This cycle, which has repeatedly shown Bitcoin’s resilience and long-term growth potential, suggests that the current price might be the lowest we’ll see again. While recent political shifts, including Donald Trump’s landslide election victory, have added new momentum and support for Bitcoin, the timing within the cycle itself makes this an ideal moment to consider buying. A Political Shift: From Anti-Crypto to Pro-Crypto For years, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have faced an uphill battle against a U.S. government determined to restrict and control their growth. This opposition was largely led by Gary Gensler, who waged an outright war against crypto from hi...

Rebuilding the Washington GOP with Real Results

By Matthew Hayward For the GOP to secure meaningful wins in Washington, it’s time to abandon unwinnable, resource-draining races and focus intensely on swing and local races . We need a disciplined, laser-focused strategy that builds a solid portfolio of victories, proving our capacity to make a difference on the ground. Each local or swing win will solidify our standing, making future fundraising easier as we demonstrate real success and the potential for broader influence. This success must be supported by practical infrastructure. The state party should provide centralized resources, such as a designated printer and sign provider, ensuring no conservative candidate has to waste time or resources on the basics. Every candidate deserves streamlined access to essential campaign tools, removing logistical barriers so they can focus on connecting with voters. Additionally, the party needs to offer strong, professional campaign training—either in-house or through partnerships with top org...

The Truth Behind America’s Financial Collapse

By Matthew Hayward I don't blame Republicans or Democrats. I blame central banking and our fiat currency, which inflates on a whim, devaluing our purchasing power. The rich benefit, getting access to the money first, while everyone else suffers. Inflation is an insidious hidden tax, created by non-elected bureaucrats. It’s true taxation without representation, yet where's the revolution? There was a time in this country when men were willing to die to stop central banks from doing exactly what they’re doing now. Where are those people today? We are pacified by propaganda that determines what we will debate about and then we have meaningless debates about the topics chosen for us. Even to that end, we are so thoughtless as just to repeat the talking points we are fed.  Some believe that corporations are raising prices to increase profits, but this narrative only serves to distract us from looking at the real problem. No one is having serious conversations about the...

Donkeys Have Been Crying Wolf: The Hysteria Over Project 2025

Written by Matthew Hayward The political landscape is often rife with hyperbole and sensationalism, but the recent uproar over "Project 2025" takes it to a new level. The political left has unleashed a torrent of hysteria, painting the project with apocalyptic tones and dire warnings. This reaction, however, reveals more about their own strategies and insecurities than the project itself. Earlier today, Trump’s campaign cheered the news of internal turmoil within the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025. Despite the left’s attempts to link Trump with this initiative, the former President has consistently denied any association. This move was highlighted by the departure of Project 2025 Director Paul Dans, announced by Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts. Roberts emphasized that Dans’s departure was in line with the project’s timeline and not a result of external pressure. FOX45 News reported the Trump campaign’s enthusiastic response, highlighting their clear disassoc...
